A Journey Through Art - For The Hungry Ghost
As we enter the final month of the Year of the Dragon, we are excited to present “HK INSIDE STORY,” a pop-up exhibition brought to you by The 59 Tattoo and The 33PRESS.
Running from November 29 to December 22, 2024, this exhibition will showcase a remarkable series of artworks by The 33PRESS, capturing the timeless essence of Chinese opera characters who perform at the Hungry Ghost Festival. (This event occurs annually in Hong Kong and several other Asian countries for two months, spanning July and August in the lunar calendar. It was recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by the Chinese government in 2011.)
The exhibition is a vibrant fusion of art and traditional vintage Hong Kong-style tattoos, an undoubtedly spark ignited by the young master Marcus Yuen and his team at The 59 Tattoo, when you visit the show you will not only experience the artwork but also delve into the compelling stories and rich tattoo history of Hong Kong, showcased on the wall that tells the narratives behind each design.

A Group exhibition at Soho House, named "Urban ColorZ" curated by THE FRENCH GIRL. With 10 Hong Kong-based artists. The goal is to cheer up this city with our vibrant colors artwork. The opening day to public is on 4th March 2022 (3pm - 6pm) & 5th March 2022 (12pm - 6pm) for media. Some of the artwork from my first project "Heaven/Hell" back in 2013 will be showcased in the exhibition.
